Usually, people put paper on the seat before sitting. Some public toilets have disposable toilet seat covers available. I always grab a couple extra to keep in my wallet. If you really want to make sure the seat is clean, start carrying around sanitizing hand gel. It can be spread on a piece of toilet paper and applied to the toilet seat to kill germs. Believe it or not, there are a lot of things that are more dirty than a public toilet seat. Try watching the person who takes your money at that fast food restaurant. I've seen them handle money, then grab drinking cups by the rim. That's a far easier way to get ill than sitting on a public toilet.

Use hand sanitizer that you can carry in your purse. Put some toilet paper in the bowl to prevent splashes.

If you must use public restroom to do this, use the one closer to the door because less people use this one, less germs.
