This sounds more like Body dysmorphic disorder to me. When a person is anorexic it is more about control, feeling a loss of control in their life and wanting to (subconsciously) be able to take charge of something (their eating habits). Body dysmorphic disorder is when you see a distorted view in the mirror, like fat when you are really very thin.
Either way, messing with your weight and your nutrition can be very dangerous. They both require the help of a couselor.
If you want to be healthy and thin, the best bet is to just eat nutritious food and stay active. And stop looking in the mirror for flaws, love yourself for what is inside!

At your age, it's easy to obssess about things like that, but take your parent's word, you're not fat, and you don't sound fat. You're 5'7", not 4'10" so you don't have to worry about it. Stop watching the scale- your body's still developing and changes will happen. The best thing to do for yourself is love yourself for how you are. If eating well (by the pyramid guide, and not some fad) makes you feel well, then keep at it, but don't make your current weight insecurity the topic every day, you probably are driving the people around you nuts, because they just see someone they love that's healthy. Now, concentrate on your grades, because that will take you further in the future more than anything.
As for anorexics - they're people who are beyond obsessive, to the point that it's made them unhealthy, physically and mentally, but they still feel they're fat, or that they can loose a few more pounds, when really, they should gain some to get healthy again. It's a serious insecurity issue. So try to find healthy role models, people that look good and healthy, not waif-like and unhealthy. It's hard, with the influences of nowadays, (Lindsay Lohan, the Olson twins, Nicole Ritchie, etc.) but just do things to start loving yourself - yoga, pilates, or whatever it may be, just don't go down a self-destructive path.

I would not think you are fat but some of those jumpers only really look good on extra thin girls. Most of us are watching our weight as you seem to be. You are not anorexic but you just see that some improvement could be made. Anorexia is a disease not a normal girl looking in the mirror and not being real happy with what she sees. Eat a normal diet-in other words eat what everyone else eats-just eat less for a while. However probably what it is is that you are a curvy girl and those jumpers are not really ever gonna make your figure look good.

Ugh, anorexia is sooo misunderstood.
An anorexic sees FAT. HUGE. She is emaciated but still sees a huge cow in the mirror everyday. An anorexic doesn't think her school uniform makes her look chunky. She thinks she is big, period, no matter what she's wearing
Anorexics don't eat, or eat very little. They're thin and they keep getting thinner. They're terrified to eat because they think they're already fat or because they want some control in their lives.
You are not anorexic if you just think you're chubby when you compare yourself to other girls. You say you watch what you eat and drink a lot of water, that's called health, not anorexia.

Anorexics see a distoted image of their body. No matter how skinny they get they still see a fat person. Therin lies their problem.
Please don't worry about your weight. Speaking from personal experience it can take over your life and ruin your relationships.
There is no real ideal weight for anyone in my opinion. We are all different shapes, heights, weights and sizes. How boring would the world be if we all looked alike?
Besides bags of bones walking down a catwalk are not sexy. Being comfortable within your own skin is probably the most sexy thing about a person and is what attracts us to the opposite sex. Be happy with who you are and others will follow suit. We only get one life. there's no point wasting it worrying about what we look like! :-)

Personally I sugest talking to some kind of professional you clearly are worried about how your feeling it could be the start of something worse, there are only possibilitys doing this 1. You get the help you need before you go down hill or 2. you really have no problems at all andf the talking through it will have put your mind at rest.

u are in the mark of a healthy weight for your height
i would not worry
many young girls are too skinny for their size which means they will later be prone to health risks
an anorexic sees a fat body on the mirror when they look into it when in reality they are like rail thin and weigh about 80 pounds and are 5'4 (think nicole richie here)---anorexics also do exercising rituals and food stuff to keep themsleves skinny---it is a scary disease

Not really, you aren't overweight! it evens out over time!!! TRUST ME! I used to weight 155, but now i weight 140. i didn't even try to lose it. If you are sooo self conscious, all you see is fat. I think you are pretty much an anorexic. At least you aren't like 90 pounds. Don't be an anorexic, rehab is soooo not fun!
