It's a nature reserve on the island of Oahu, it's not a town and it's not to be confused with the City of Honolulu:
" Honouliuli Preserve is home to more than 90 rare and endangered plant and animal species. The land once belonged to Hawaiian royalty and was named Honouliuli - meaning dark, dark harbor - for the dark fertile lands that stretch from the waters of Pearl Harbor to the summit of the Wai`anae Mountains. RESPONDERS NEED TO READ PROPERLY!
You didn't ask about "Honolulu" (which is the capital of Hawaii on the island of Oahu)
Honouliuli is not a town per se, but a former plantation village, north of Ewa towards Waipahu on route 76. It's on the west side of Pearl Harbor.
But Honouliuli also refers to the region on the western side of along the Wai'anae mountains. I found a website that describes the more general area:

Honouliuli is the largest ahupua'a on O'ahu, covering 43,000 acres. The ahupua'a is the traditional Hawaiian land division. Honouliuli is pie-shaped, and encompasses all of the Ewa coast, part of the western edge of Pearl Harbor, goes up to the summit of the Waianae range, inland as far as up to Schofield Barracks (approximately), bounded by Kunia Road (also approximate). Several features within the ahupua'a of Honouliuli have been given the same name - the preserve, a wetland, the internment camp, etc.

Honouliuli is a nature perserve, not a city or a town. Honolulu is a city and is also the capital of the state.

for an oahu local resident, honouliuli is not a "town" or "city," it is an area by a back road in ewa beach. you see the name on street signs, it describes the turn that most people here call old fort weaver road. for haoles it is the short cut into ewa beach. it isnt a place where you live or hang out, you just pass through the vague area
