if any religious person or group is continually harassing you you need to ask for their home Church and Pastor, Leader,or person in charge name. Tell them you are not interested and that you are contacting their (?) boss to inform him/her of this.
most will leave you alone those that do not simply contact the local Police and have a report made every time it occurs and after that have an order of protection written against them.
I am a door to door christian Evangelist and it really bothers me to admit that some go way too far. if i am told not to come back to a residence i write down the address and wait several months before calling on the person again and i only make the second attempt out of courtesy to see if they have changed their minds about simply accepting a Gospel Tract. if they say no, that is all that a true Christian can do besides pray for that persons well being.

They came knocking on your door because they think they are bringing something great to you. It doesn't matter that you already have a religion or church, it's not good enough. They want you going to their church. It's just how they and every other LDS or JW person is taught to believe. In their minds their church is the right one and yours is corrupt.
I've heard other people suggest putting a sign on your door saying that you don't want any visits from Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, solicitors, etc. I think you can be firm and polite when you tell them to leave you alone. If you are too friendly or stand there and chat with them for awhile that may send them the wrong message.

They come knocking on the door to spread the word. There are actually many scriptures in the bible which talk about that, and they take it to heart.
Usually you can just say "I'm not interested" and they'll leave you alone (that pair at least---I don't think they communicate much with other pairs). So, frankly, if you set your german shepard loose it wouldn't do any more good than being nice and just saying you're not interested.

nicely, i've got had JW's knock on my door, and we had an extremely friendly verbal substitute. I found out plenty approximately their faith and took a number of pamphlets describing a number of their ideals. yet i've got additionally been on the different area, knocking on different peoples' doorways as a Mormon missionary...and that i ought to assert that non-religious each physique is via some distance the rudest persons I ever without notice met. religious human beings would often a minimum of communicate in a well mannered way to me and consistent with hazard even grant me water or some thing.

This Esther person is full of beans! Jehovahs Witnesses do not
try to (work) their way into heaven,As a matter fact about 99.9%
of them have the hope of living on a cleansed and paradise earth.
PS.37:29----Unlike the teaching of most of christendom, that hold
that either a person goes to heaven or a firey hell.Which of course
is unscriptual and not taught in the Bible.

That works, they are annoying. Don't know why people think they have to press their beliefs on others. I was accosted at my door by some jehovahs the other day, even after saying my family went to a local church, she still wanted to read scripture to me, and a weird verse at that. I was nice, didn't tell them that though my family goes to the church, I am atheist.

For Jehovah's Witnesses, If you curse them out or tell them you worship the devil and have demons in your house then they will not come to your door again. They have a do not knock list of people that are belligerent. I used to be one, hated going door to door.

Just tell them politely that you don't want them to visit you. If that doesn't work, ask the church leaders to tell their members to avoid your home.
You can also place a sign in your door telling them not to disturb you. After all, they only mean well.

Why not just politely tell them that you aren't interested? They're human too, and would appreciate a show of manners and respect, just as we all do. A little kindness never hurt anyone.
