Dating back 1.8 million years dental grooves have been found on fossil teeth to suggest cavemen picked their teeth. Grass stalks were most likely used. Study concluded early humans were concerned about their dental hygiene and used implements to pick food from their teeth.

Cavemen did not clean their teeth. Later however (I mean millions of years later) when the Homo sapiens developed and then they began to think about how to keep them clean, they used ash and also sometimes used salt to clean their teeth. They did not have toothbrushes then, they used their fingers instead.

It causes one to wonder, doesnt it. Speaking of that, ever notice how most people wash their dishes in hot water for an hour in the dishwasher, but just give their toothbrush a quick rinse under the tap. You have to wonder what a toothbrush, sitting exposed in a bathroom, that gets little cleaning is harboring in the way of germs and bacteria....I started soaking mine in peroxide and changing it frequently

Wellll, I happen to know a caveman and he doesn't have any teet. Apparently, they used giant boulders to hit their teeth until all fell out. They had a special ceremony called Tjkwefrgejkgfjk when they were 13 that they had to punch all their teeth out by themselves with boulders. Then they would all eat Gerbers baby food and parrrrtay!
