who knows about Macromedia Flash Player 8?

Question

suddenly,my computer says i need to download this on certain sites,thought i already had it,so i proceed to the adobe page (where it sends me) and it says download is complete,but when i restart and go back to the sites,it still says i need this,anybody know what is going on?it just started saying this last night.

You must uninstall Flash Player before reinstalling it. See page below for uninstaller. Run uninstaller, then install Flash Player.
