I need to fly to Lisbon in May for golf tournament. Easyjet offer only suitable flight times (06.45 out); 6 hour delay wouldn't kill me; bumping off or cancellation would!
Amazingly I've never used any low cost airline - only fly once a year on packages now, so need advice/reassurance.
I see golf clubs cost £15 each way extra - fair enough; are there any potential pitfalls with getting them on plane?
BA from Heathrow have flight but it's evening; no others are suitable. I understand Easyjet fly into Portelo and seats aren't pre-allocated, but are there important things I should be aware of?

Thanks everyone.

Easyjet are as good as anyone else and better than some! They fly on time if they can. Airline delays are rarely anything they can stop as the weather etc causes most problems. Your clubs will go as checked in baggage, just make sure they are well protected preferably in purpose made travel bag. Make sure everything is labeled with your name flight number and hotel address (dont put your home address on until your on your way home!).

Although I have never flown to Lisbon on Easyjet I have been to a number of other destinations and always found them good value for money, where punctuality is concerned I have paid hundreds of pounds more and had far worse delays. As a general rule flights early in the morning are on time it is only as the day progress's that delays tend to occur due to the quick turn round time of all cut price airlines. As for golf clubs sorry but I cant help on that one I have no idea how to hold one let alone transport a bag full.
