Will it stabilize the region, as our leadership seems to believe, or will it further throw the middle east into chaos, bringing in syria into the mix as well? And before people think this is some anti war question, I have been to Iraq twice, and would go again gladly if called up. I just want to know how civilians feel about the matter.

Lol, read the news sullivan. We are building up our naval presence in the gulf, we are pressing the UN for more and more sanctions, and we are saying that they are supplying insurgents in iraq with weapons...Add to that the fact that President Bush called them a part of an axis of evil, and their president has called for wiping out Israel off the face of the earth, its not too hard a conclusion to come by.

Your right, a war w/ Iran will bring other countries in; heym who knows it could cause the next World War. You have Israeli-British-American forces against these Persian-Arabics; but who knows? Russia could come in, and then you have NATO coming in and if China went in; Indiana would come to the US's side and if India came in, China would go to the Arabics.
When you really look at it, it probably wont end up anything close to that; but its possible. As for what will a war w/ Iran solve? It takes care of Iran and thats about it; but its a worthy cause.

A war with Iran could stop the Iranians from supporting and subsidizing terrorism in the region and worldwide.
If we will fight a war without worrying about hurting the feelings of pinkos, liberals and anti-war peace queers, we could crush the Iranians, Syrians and anyone else who wants some.

I think it would give any other middle eastern countries something to think about.
Unfortunately I'm not a civilian though , so my thoughts are somewhat biased.

,There'll be less people chanting "Death to America" at the end of every prayer...people underestimate the danger of so many people being taught to fanatically HATE us...that hate, coupled with Iran's oil money, is a real danger...plus anything that causes there to be less arabs is a good thing.

More loss of life, billions more in debt, and more reason for the rest of the world to hate Americans.
