Just tried Tylenol Flu medication...didn't like the reaction I was having(sweating, horrible sleeping patterns etc.). Noticed afterwards it contains propylene glycol which I believe is an ingredient in antifreeze?? This can't be a good thing...

Propylene glycol is safe for consumption. You're thinking of ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol, which are toxic to humans and animals.

Diethylene glycol has caused many accidental deaths over the years. The most famous incident was the 1937 Elixir sulfanilamide disaster in the USA, in which 107 people died after taking sulfanilamide dissolved in diethylene glycol. This was the impetus for the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938.

Its all a matter of how much is consumed, Beer and 200-proof wisky both contain the same type of alcohol but if you drink 16 oz. of the wisky you'll be dead of alcohol poisioning whereas the beer might just give you a slight buzz.
Everything is toxic in a large enough amount, even water is toxic at very high levels.
Don't be surprised that there is antifreeze in the Tylenol because if there was a toxic amount in there, The FDA wouldn't have ever approved it, in other words there is so little that there is no need for worry.

Propylene glycol is a common "solvent" used in pharmaceutical products because it helps to solubilize the drug. It is granted GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status by the FDA. Propylene glycol is found in most cough syrups and suspensions, as well as soft gelatin capsules (liqui-gels) and topical preparations.

While it used to be an acceptable practice, it is no longer legal in China to eat dog or cat meat. They have become wealthy enough that dogs and cats are not on the menu, so good luck finding any. Also, it's probably not safe to eat considering that cats have worms and other nasty parasites. I'd pass if I were you. I suppose if you really want to eat a cat, you could try it out on one of your own, since you won't find any cat meat in China. Good luck!

It is indeed anti-freeze.... in small quantities it poses no harm, there is probably less than one drop in your whole bottle of medicine.
