He is in the pope's bird cage for two reasons.

1. He likes the pure oxygen from the Michael Jackson book

2. He does not intend to be grabbed up by the Simon Wiesenthal people.

That is not defying fate. Taking precautionary actions to prevent yourself from being injured is not defying fate. By your logic taking medications is defying fate also, so is walking on the sidewalk instead of the middle of the street.

Matthew 4:5-7 states:

Then the devil took him to the holy city, and made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you and 'with their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus answered him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'"

The Pope likewise uses his God-given common sense and does not put God to the test.

With love in Christ.

The problem with this question is that it requires logic to answer. But don't expect too much of that.
