Same thing happened with one of our huskies but we found out it was actually a food issue. He was 8 months when we got him and they told us he'd been eating Eukanuba puppy food so that's what we fed him. The vet said the high fat content in puppy food bothers some dogs as they get older. Once we switched him to the adult food our other husky was eating he was fine. What did your vet say?

when you say technically on the same diet, anytime you change a dogs food you can expect them to have diahrrea. it takes a day or two to adjust.
by the way, congratulations on your puppy! we just got an 8 week old alaskan malamute pup on friday and are going through the same thing.
good luck!
