The same way I think about atheist hypocrites -- it's all ego and all delusional and 99.9999% of all of us have no self-awareness but we convince ourselves that we do. I'm especially good at deluding myself.

First off, know that I am NOT an atheist. I believe that the One True God loves me and sent His son to die for MY sin. I think that the atheists hate Christian hypocrites because Christians are not being the Light of the world they should be. They go out and preach and say oh no, don't do this and don't do that, and tell you all sorts to do and not to do, but then they go out and do exactly what they said not to do. They completely break everything they may have built up and the atheists become even more convinced that they are correct, even though they are not. As a Christian, this makes me very sad. I try and live the right way and be outward for Christ, but I am still a sinner. I still make mistakes. I am not perfect. But I am in Christ's eyes, His treasure and He loves me and cherishes me and continues to forgive, even when I make mistakes. He loves me and He loves every single person answering this question and on this site and everywhere right now in this whole world. He LOVES YOU! He died for YOU! YOUR sins put Him there. MY sins put Him there. Jesus LOVES YOU just that much...

Good question, there are terrible people on both sides. The big difference is that Christians "profess" to know better, and somehow have crafted a way to justify their action. Stalin and Mao were just crazy maniacs. Christians require an additional philosophical step that says "my God of Love, wants me to kill people". Atheists don't have that objection to overcome.
An Atheist who turns out to be a murderer, doesn't break any philosophical rules, and only represent themselves. Christians that turn into murderers tend to do so under the guise that it is God's will. Atheists will then use that example, and ask if God cares about his children and wants them to know his will, why would he allow people that honestly believe in him, go ahead and use his name to commit horrendous crimes. Most Christians who are killers, do so with a clear conscience. That is very scarry

Christians start wars based on their religion. Solely to persecute and convert. Stalin and Mao (which is getting to be a very old and annoying comparison because the things they did that were nasty doesn't even remotely compare to the things perpetrated in the name of Christianity. Hitler ring a bell?) did it to try to do whats best for their people (even though they were insanely wrong).

The difference is that Mao and Stalin didn't use atheism to justify their violence. In some instances people have used anti-theism to justify violence, but that's another kettle of fish.
I think people who start wars are sick, selfish people. But with someone like Bush who was raised a fundamentalist Christian, his religion and his personality are certainly not entirely independent.

That's a very good question. I hate those questions and answers that seek to make people feel bad because someone who was, or is, of their same faith, nationality, or philosophy committed an atrocity. I don't hate all Austrians because of what Hitler did. I don't hate all Saudi Arabians for what Usama bin Laden did. I don't hold modern Roman Catholics responsible for what their predecessors did in the Middle Ages. But it's also a fair question to ask what influence religion had/has in the lives of these people. Is his evangelical Christian faith a strong factor in President Bush's foreign policy? Did Stalin murder millions of people because of his atheism or because he was a ruthless bastard? Are Christians, Jews, and Muslims using their faith to justify the persecution of homosexuals?

I don't like hypocrites. Now, some Christians do bad things because they are bad people (see McVeigh). This is the same thing as Stalin and Mao and the others. Other Christians do bad things BECAUSE they are Christians (see the bajillions of people who have waged war because they think they are on a holy mission). This is hypocrisy, and *is* different from the bad atheists--Stalin, while abominable, didn't justify his action by claiming "Atheism is making my actions necessary and acceptable and good."

i think of anybody could nicely be a hypocrite not purely Christians no one is acceptable. yet to generalize all of them as hypocrites isn't suitable the two. to assert i've got under no circumstances accomplished some thing hypocritical in my finished existence could be a lie, and to assert i wouldn't in any respect do some thing hypocritical sooner or later could probable be a lie besides. I attempt my toughest to not be that individual.

I don't believe the war has anything to do with Christianity. The war is over fear and terrorism. The war was started because it was thought to be necessary to protect the American people from terrorism. Bush made some mistakes along the way but he had the protection of your sorry butt in mind. When he was twice elected by the majority of his people to the most important post in the world. Now be a crybaby and say he stole the election. Here it comes.

As soon as I find a true 'christian', I'll let ya know. As soon as most people find out that I don't beleive in god, they turn. I've never seen more hateful people than a group of christians. People like baby bush throw it in our face all the time. "I'm a christian, therefore I'm better than you." That's fine with me. Think that. Go to Europe and tell people you are a christian, they will laugh at you. The US is very backwards. We know the truth.
