A friend of mine was asked to move in with her boyfriend. She found out that he is on some dating sites. He tells her he is only on them to "chat". I'm trying to convince her that if he is on the sites, that he is most likely looking for other women. She doesn't want to believe me, so I was hoping to show her what others think, both men and women. She already talked to him and asked him to get off the sites as it hurts her, yet he remains on them. Since she won't listen to me, maybe she will listen to others views, especially men. I hope to prevent her from doing something she will likely regret in the future. Thanks for your help.

To the guy that said I'm jealous and too interested in my friend's affairs. She confided in me about this and also told me that he told her many times he had stopped going on the sites, yet when she checked, he was on every day. Since she is asking me about it, I think she really does know what he is doing. I'm only trying to be a good friend to her. I am not jealous of her, why would I be. I wouldn't want to be in her position. She deserves to be treated better than he is treating her.

Well the first comment (answer) is true........... there is one way to open her eyes. You or her need to join the site - try to start a conversation with him............ it's a simple as that.........you can find out a lot about somebody that way - the true person. You can print out the IM's and show her real evidence!!

You're taking just a little toooo much interest in your friends affairs. Maybe youre jealous or whatever. Thats why she doesnt want to listen to you.
Being on a dating site doesnt necessarily mean anything, it can just be a test to see if women find us attractive still. How do you know for sure it will be a huge mistake? Like I said, you need to step back and let her get on with her life, to make mistakes is a risk she's prepared to take. She can always move back out!!!

Well just the fact that he won't listen to her says enough. She's not important enough to him. Guys don't get on "dating" sites just to chat. Anyway, chatting leads to web cams and then to watching someone take there clothes off. Then the next step is an excuse ," Oh I'm going out tonight, just me and the guys." when really he's going to meet a girl. It gets pretty messy.

Don't Move In!

Sorry to say but he is most likely browsing his options. Why is he on there chatting with strangers when he can be with chatting with his girlfriend that HE IS ABOUT TO MOVE IN WITH!!!

Lastly if he knows that it hurts her why does he continue to do it? If he truly loves her he would stop.

Dump his a$$ and find someone who will treat you with respect and kindness. If you don’t want to dump him then the least you can do for yourself is not move in with him and see how things go for a little while.

Dating sites can just be for enjoyment you should ask your friend to see seriously what the guy is doing there.

If hes just flirting around for fun and your friend is cool with it, so be it. But if hes serious with it and might just go out with a new date, please, ask your friend to snap out of it. It will not be cool when everything suddenly goes the worst way.

oh geez how naive can she be

she is the girl of the moment---he has the sites up to find someone who is better and when he finds what he likes she will most likely end up with a broken heart

or this guy could be a player who wants to spread his wild oats all over the place

she's better off without the loser

This is for your own good! Find someone who really cares about you!!!!

i have a b.f but i am doing chat... i am not looking.. but west my time... dear look he must to be open to u... instead of westing his time in the sites he can hang out with u.... allot of guys cheating in the net.. and telling bad words... even they love the other but this seems the world ... so must to be carefully
and try if she want to enter to the looking sites if her b.f don't care or care, or if he jealous or not... she can think what he will do..

I asked the husband his point of view and his answer was "YES HE IS TRYING TO CHEAT!!!!!!!" He isn't going to these sites just to have conversation with strangers, he's trying to hook up with someone as it's tooooo risky the conventional ways( will get caught) Get out, get out, get out!!!!!!!!
