Based upon individual sensitivity and location of the tattoo, expect soreness for about a week after the initial inking. My tattoo on my shoulder where my bra strap rubs was sore a few days longer than this, for obvious reasons. The tattoo on the back of my neck was irritated for a few days because my collar rubbed it.
Expect it to itch for up to a month, possibly longer, again based upon individual sensitivity. Avoid scratching it at all costs or you'll pull the ink out with the scab and may create a new one after the scab falls off. The tattoo on the back of my neck itched for about 3 months due to a sensitivity to the purple ink. If you have to scratch after the initial scab falls off, try to gently rub it instead of scratching with your nails, or use a sun-burn aloe gel with some lidocane in it to sooth your skin.

Yes it will be sore for a few days. Don't put anything petroleum based on it, especially neosporin it will draw the ink out!!!!!

It depends on what kind of sore you are talking about.....extremely tender is unusual but yes it is going to be slightly uncomfortable for a few weeks...just make sure you keep it moistened......

Sometimes, yes. Depending on its location. Are you following through with keeping neosporin or bacitracin on it and keeping it lightly covered? You do not want it to become infected, though rare.
