well it really depends on for
1How hard was it to run that pace. if it was easy then set your goal at least 10 secs higher

if it was real hard then try 2 or 3 secs

but 1 thing i learned is its not bad to aim for more than you can do. its bad to shoot yourself short and never push for more than you can do. its when you try to do your best and give it everything you got that you start breaking records. well good look you got a great start . and hopefuly your running 4:10s before you know it

You need 1:15 splits to get a 5:00 mile. Run 6 400 repeats at 1:10 with a 1:10 break in between each repeat.

Your question is impossible to answer because we don't know you, or your potential. However, if you are fairly new to running, and have run that fast already, probably without a whole lot of training, since it is winter, you will keep improving.

Work hard in practice, and you should see your times come down. Go out for spring track and you should continue to improve because training conditions will be better, and you should be able to put in more miles.

Best wishes- that is a good start!

it depends on how you felt in the race.. you could improve anywhere from 1-10 seconds or more maybe... if the mile was pretty fast and felt taxing to you then you'll be lucky to run a second faster or 2

I would think a 5:03 would be a realistic goal...that is cutting each 400 by 1 second, which can be done realistically.

Try to get at least 1 second off everytime you run a mile.

Shoot for 5:00 minutes? It also depends on your workout and when you are racing again!! You also have to feel relaxed.
