I recently moved back to TN from FL. I purchased a truck over the weekend and would like to get it registered and titled today, but I dont have a drivers license because it is suspended in FL. My question is, can I register a vehicle for ownership purposes in the stae of TN or do I have to have a valid drivers license in this state to register a vehicle here? Thanks

Well, you can't today. It's a holiday, and they take every opportunity to be closed. Bottom line is you can, but you will have to show them proof of insurance to do so, so get that in place first, and of course you can't drive it until you do get your license back to valid.

http://www.state.tn.us/safety/FinancialResponsibility/frfaqs.htm is information on suspended licenses for TN which may be helpful.

I do believe that you need a valid driver's license to register a vehicle, in any state. But don't take my word for it call the DMV and ask them your self.
