I've heard of some major cities actually banning restaurants from using Trans Fat in their foods. Yes, it's heathier, but if we ban everything that's healthy isn't it stepping on our freedom to eat what we want? If we let government succeed in banning Trans Fat what's next? Banning sugar? Forcing exercise? People need to take their own responsibility to eat healthy NOT let the government make our decision. What do you think?

The problem is that we're not given the information from the food manufacturers to make that decision ourselves. Thus, we cant make those decisions. Though ideally, the government should be forcing them to make this information readily available like it should have been doing for years.

But it's not like we can just tell the government to step out of our personal lives so easily. I'm more concerned about speech, and privacy more than the things we put in our stomachs.

Alot of people eat this stuff unaware that they are consuming unhealthy trans fat. These people, like myself, given the information would not eat these things. As for the rest of America... Yes they should take the initiative to eat healthy but they obviously won't otherwise Americans would not be overweight as a society! If trans foods can be replaced with a healthy alternative I see no reason why this should not be enforced!

you're making some stable factors, yet in reality that there are different aspects that eating places can use that *flavor the comparable* as trans fat, so in the event that they're forced to renounce trans fat we will not understand the version. the explanation that many agencies are sluggish to eliminate aspects containing trans fat is through the fact they're decrease priced. in an attempt to interchange those aspects with comparable-tasting aspects that are fit, and it relatively is a win-win difficulty for the buyer. whether somebody needs to take duty for their own well-being, that's totally confusing to ward off eating trans fat totally, enormously in eating places the place they are no longer required to grant a catalogue of aspects or food guidance.

I suppose you could think of it that way. Eventully it could get to the point that you couldn't not even purchase trans-fat for you personal use.
