Getting to know someone new is always such an exciting opportunity. How do you approach the "getting to know you" stage -likes/dislikes, etc?

By talking, lots and lots of talking.
Between cell phone texting and email and all that other stuff, people really don't talk that much anymore but spending time together and just talking about your life and their life causes things to come up that give you an understanding of how that person thinks and feels and their likes and dislikes.
