Im using the GNC protein powder and it says the use it 2 times a day but it doesnt say anything about a limit of scoops to use. I used 3 scoops in my shake this morning because Im trying to gain weight. Is that ok? How many scoops can I use?

It's fine. Your body will get rid of excess protein.

It is just a waste of money when you take too much.

I used the book "Body Sculpting Bible for Men."

Pretty informative.

Your body can only absorb and use so much protein per hour/day...so any additional protein you take in is just wasted. A good rule of thumb is to ingest 1 to 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight a day to maintain muscle and a little more to increase it. Of course there's a tad more to it than that, but that's the simple version.

Stick to what the directions say. ONLY take more if your doctor says is it OK.

I don't know much about protein powder but I do know you can OD with vitamins.

I'd check with the doc

Follow the recommended use of it. This brand and others have a concentrated protein mix. Too much may become intolerable
