I am wanting to have this tattoo done on my lower leg, down around the ankle maybe. I am wanting to have my daughter's name inked on me and to have a neat design that will allow for another child's name to be put there for when I should have a baby. Please be specific as possible with your ideas, thanks.

No more tattoo naysayers. I don't need preaching to about my ink.

I got my new ink yesterday. It is a pink butterfly with my daughter's name in script arched above the wings and it's on top of my right foot. When I have a baby, I am gonna get another butterfly on my left foot in the same style with either blue or pink wings. Thanks for all those who kicked in their ideas.

Don't listen to Buff. She needs to go back to R/S with the other preachers. I think it would look good if you could turn your daughters name into an ambigram (google it), and have it so a different word (ie. freedom, strength) is read when it's upside down. That way you could have the word going down on your leg and you could read both words from different angles. Contact Mark Palmer (http://www.wowtattoos.com/index-5.html if you want to try that.

Okay, so for the child's name, you want a nice cursive calligraphy wording, I don't know how to describe it. Now think: what does your daughter like? What's she into? Any favorite colors? You have to use something that relates to your daughter in some way, or, you can use something that also relates to you. Let's say you love a certain type of flower. You can have your daughters name kind of floating out of the flower in a beautiful cursive writing, and when another child comes along, you can get another flower with the other child's name in it, too. The flower's could be linked with vines or stems. Some good flowers you could use could be: the crocus flower, the daisy, the lilac, the lotus, or maybe the peony flower. You can look up other flowers and their meanings, too.

I would use symbols that coorespond with your daughter's name, and then maybe leave room for another one.;

For example, my name is STephanie and mean "crowned one". Mayb you could have the name inorporated with a crown, seplechure, whatever......just a thought. Talk to your tattoo artist and have him/her draw somethingup based on your daughters or interests.

It all depends on what your into. If you like butterflies or snakes. I would say take all the things you like and add your daughters name to it. See what that comes up with.

ok i might sound a little weird....but i always thought it would be sweet to have a lizard on your lower tummy slash hip area and have the tail curl around your stomach to your back.
