Every day, a man who lives on the 26th floor takes the elevator down to the ground floor to go to work. But at night, he gets off on the 8th floor and walks up to 26. Why? Please don't answer he needs the exercise - it is wrong.

he is a little person and he can't reach the # 26 button; you know it's rude to call a little person a midget, the correct term is little person/people.

well what else could it be? do you live on the 8th floor? maybe he gets off and sees you then walks up on level and gets back on the elevator

This man is a dwarf and simply can't reach his desired button. If it's raining he has an umbrella and uses it to reach his floor number.
