I have long, thick hair (I am a girl by the way), which is naturally straight. I can use my curling irons to get a good curl going, but it doesn't hold very well.
Are there any good hair products out there that would help to hold curls in place? What would you recommend?

hi, I recently had to do a friends hair for a Grad party this is how i did it

i find that curlers are the best idea, even buy the "bendy" curlers that are used for little kids so there isn't a cost issue. You should wash and condidtion your hair. While it's stil a little damp put the curlers in remembering to curl the strand of hair around the curler in the direction that you want the curl to fall, i.e. along the side of your face curl your hair towards the back of your head.

Use a little hairspray on the strand before you curl. Hairspray will help hold the curl so buy a few cans.

When you have all the curlers in your hair, it should still be damp so short blasts from a hairdryer will help dry the hair while in the curlers also helping the hair spray to set.

hope this works

I have naturally curly hair. I use Pantene Pro-V Hydrating curls... for shampoo and styling products. However, a product you might want to try are any of the curl booting sprays, such as Bedhead or Studioline.

Good luck!

Spray each section with a short spritz of hairspray before you wind it around the tongs. as soon as u unravel ur hair curl it around ur finger in the direction of the curl and pin it to ur head. complete whole head and then spritz all over to bond it all. wen u r ready to go out unpin your hair run your fingers through to seperate the curls,DONT BRUSH OR COMB THEM, and try not to touch them again for the rest of the nite, and they should last the distance!!! Hope this helps chickadee!!!

Well my hair is naturally curly, so I don't really need anyhting to keep it that way, but I sometimes scrunch it, I use Garniar Frutius strong hold scrunching gel. You should try it! It really works for my hair and I'm sure that it will work for you! Hope it does.
