"new age" is not a religion, but there are "new" religions that come from the new age. There are many current pagan religions that have surfaced/re-surfaced in the past few decades. Wicca, Astartu, druidism, etc, etc. have all become popular once more namely because of the "new age" movement. There is a problem with linking the two (new age and religion) however, since when you say "new age" you think hippy in flowing clothes with crystals and drugs.
The current pagan movement does have these types, but they are also your neighbor. Normal, everyday looking people. There is very little that distinguishes me as a pagan. If you met me on the street, you probably would not see anything different about me, unless you looked REALLY close. My desk at work does not have candles and pentacles. I do not wear hippy clothing. My kids go to public school just like everyone else.
Anyway, back to your question, New Age is not a religion. But there are religions roughly based in the New Age ideal.

No. It's really just the modern version of mysticism. It's more like an exploration of spiritual concepts than a religion, because it has no structure, its proposals vary from person to person, and it has zero organization. There are many things that can be called 'new age' but really it's just spiritual curiosity, trying out different ideas.

Religions are recognized as organizations by the governments of many countries. The New Age is a movement and/or belief in various and sundry ideas that come and go. It has no organization and finds its inspiration through new and innovative ideas that appear in written form or on the internet.

Yes it is a religion. Not neccessarily the religion that will lead one to heaven, but we all believe in something. Merriam Websters dictionary states one of the definition of 'religion' is :
"a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith"
Those who don't believe God, still have a religion, a cause, principle and system of beliefs they hold to with faith.

It's not really "New" at all. These fake religions have been around for thousands of years. Nothing new under the sun. It's all we are god and we don't need a real God thing. It's "self is god" blah blah blah nonsense.

Yes. it is an untestable faith in something, and there is no possible evidence that would be considered sufficient to disprove it. ERGO yes, it is a religion.
