Okay this guy goes out one night, comes back to his house and turns off the light. The next morning he reads in the newspaper '500 people killed' immidiatly, he knows it was his fault. Why?

This guy goes out one night, comes back home and turns off the light. The next morning he reads in ther newspaper '500 people dead' and immidiatly he knows it was his fault. Why?
Answer: He lives in a light house and he tuned off the light so a boat crashed into the harbour killing 500 people

He's a lighthouse keeper. Its a pretty good riddle, but its old, and kinda easy.

Not bad, but I would change "immediately" to "last night" or something else.
People don't die immediately when a ship crashes into something.
