you will get a good picture, but this is not a true hd tv it only has 768 lines. true hd has 1080

It doesn't really matter now as the tv is out of stock. The contrast and brightness ratio is a bit low. Get the best you can afford not to forget the refresh rate. The other tv from argos would be a better buy. Try www.ebuyer.co.uk They offer a fantastic next day delivery service. I recently bought a cheap tv from currys, its called a pentus, made by harwa, another no no make and tv picture is ok, better than i expected. Its 32" and was £450, HD ready. Picture is better on dvd than tv and for some reason, some programmes are better than others, especially the adverts lol. It doesn't like older tv programmes. One great thing though. ITS FANTASTIC ON THE 360 and even xbox games are clearer and sharper through the 360 on HD. Hope this helps. Argos also offer a 19" Samsung HD tv which my son has, its £249.99

No you do no longer choose an HDTV to play the Xbox 360. I even have the Xbox 360 myself, and appropriate now i'm enjoying it on my extensive-unfold television, and the photos look great. i've got not got an HDTV through fact those are purely too high priced. confident an HDTV could make the pictures look greater greater powerful, yet i do no longer relatively care approximately that. do no longer difficulty purely play the Xbox 360 on your prevalent television, the pictures won't look undesirable.

for xbox it will show a good quality hd image but not a full quality hd image (at least 1080 verticle pixels). also it only has an analogue tuner pratically making it dedicated for using with the xbox unless you have an hd set-top box.

a normal tv picture will look worse than a normal tv pivture on a standard definition tv.

the tv you saw isnt very advanced when concerning hd tv's. try the one below, the brand name isnt the biggest but it uses practically all toshiba products and its the best tv i've ever had.
