Right, I was supposed to go out tonight with my bf to dinner and a movie (he has just been paid).

My mate has called to say that she is upset over something so I said that she should come to dinner with us (it was only to pizza express) so she can talk it over and then we could head off to the movie.

when i called him to see if this would be ok he said that it would be fine that one of his mates (a girl) is heading down to his bar for 4.30 for a few drinks.... he finishes at 5.... we were supposed to meet at 5.15.... Now this same girl couldnt come out last night cos she didnt have any money...

Am I right to be bothered... ?

Well, I'm trying to put myself in your situaiton and I would be a little upset too. Not jelous but maybe concerned. I wouldn't want my bf paying for another girls drinks, but then again if they are friends and you trust your bf then I guess there shouldn't be a problem.

I dont get your question, I thought you was going to say your boyfriend was upset with you for bringing a friend for a meal (rightly so) but then you changed to something completely different and irrelevant to the bringing a friend thing?????

Ill come back in ten mins explain...

I would be bothred and you have the right to be but get the full story first. Dont go making a moutain out of a molehill. If it turns out you are making a big deal out of nothing, he wont be very happy with you. But if his story doesn't add up, go for it.

I think he trumped your "date interruption" with one of his own, which was guaranteed to annoy you in return. It looks like a bit of a power game between you two?

You shouldn't invite anyone onto your dates with him, and he shouldn't have reasons to be late for your dates either. Just make time for one another that's private, and you'll stop the tug-of-war for attention.

If you believe they are just mates, then no, why should it bother you, unless you don't trust him or her ??

I'M NOT SURE THAT I UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM...ARE YOU ANNOYED THAT HE MAY BE BUYING HER DRINKS? IS SHE A MUTUAL FRIEND? OR DO YOU NOT WANT THEM TO SPEND TIMR TOGETHER WITHOUT YOU?
