How great you still have a great nan! What i used to get for mine and it was actually a hit with her is a box filled with her favorite comfort things like her favorite tea, crossword books some postage stamps, her favorite canned soup etc.Think of the things she really likes . You could also get a box of all occasion cards so she can send a card if she needs to. Good Luck and HAPPY

Get the family together and have a new photo done and have it enlarged with a very nice frame. That's what my nan would of love if she was still alive. Then get your family around her house with a birthday cake and give her the photo with everyone on.

I think you should do something that means a lot... even if it doesn't cost money...
maybe make a nice family tree and put it in a frame or find an old picture of her husband or parents or someone and take it to walgreens and make it an 8X10 and frame that...
I have a feeling that worldly possesions don't mean that much to her and she would probably appriciate nostalgic things.

For Christmas, we purchased digital photo frames for the family. They are quite practical because they display so many photos, instead of just one. It takes some work, loading all of the pictures, but the gifts we gave were a HUGE hit. I suggest them for ANY gift. You can get one at any of the larger retail/department stores. Good luck!!!

Make her a family photo scrapbook; take her out, or carry in, some favorite foods and share lunch/dinner; lots of gorgeous fresh flowers; treat her to a manicure and facial and massage; spend a day with her doing whatever she chooses; take her shopping or do shopping for her.

does she drink? you could bring over a nice bottle of champagne and some flutes and have a few glasses with her. she'll let down her hair and tell you some crazy stories!
it not, bring over something she wouldn't buy for herself, like some nice chocolates, or beautiful flowers, or a lobstergram.
i think the best presents are the consumable ones.
