There is an active one built by Nova Scotia Power as an experiment - it can be visited and they say it produces enough power for about 4500 homes.... it is talked about in this article:

20 MWe in Canada. not very much. Hydro electric and fossil fuel is still much less expensive. We have surprisingly few good places to try it out. It has been a notable failure in Saskatchewan
