If you watch the video, you can see that Kenseth was on his bumper pushing him to the front. Harvick even said during the after race interview that Matt gave him a helluva push. Once again, Kyle Busch screwed the pooch, got too aggressive on the final lap, lost the rear-end going into the turn and took out 10 or 12 cars in the wreck following. I've noticed that this seems to be the standard script for Nascar Races........ everybody minds their business and acts like they have a brain in their head until the last 10 laps or so..... then they want to slam and bang to try to get to the front. If that's the way the races are gonna end..... why not just make it a 5-lap dash and quit wasting the fan's time. They already know HOW it's gonna end.......just not WHO's gonna win the scramble. I think that Nascar should start penalizing the guys that get that aggressive in the final laps. If you cause a wreck by driving like a moron, you should finish last, and everyone else retains their spot at the time of the wreck. With all the cameras and GPS they have available to them, that shouldn't be such a difficult thing.

It's the way restrictor racing is, he had cars behind him pushing him, and even though it wasn't that many cars helping, it's just that when you draft, you get a run on the person in front and Harvick had a HUGE run with help from other cars and then Martin sorta bobbled, and Harvick kept that momentum going while trying to "pinch" Martin down the track to slow him down, so Harvick ended up winning, it's hard to believe, but that's the way it goes in Daytona and Talladega, the restrictor-plate tracks

Harvick shot up like that for several reasons.
1. Bump draft ROCKETS the front person forward.
2. When he got to kyles side, he gained speed cause of the draft.
3. Martin bobbled repeatedly
I hate it for martin, but it was a great finish and win for harvick.

The # 5 car behind Martin tried to go around him on Martin's right side. If you watch the replay this caused Martin's car to wobble a little bit and he had to back off the gas for a fraction of a second. Those cars are so touchy the car behind them can cause them to lose control. Occasionally two drivers will get in a fight because they know the one behind them knows how to do this. But this was just a case of racing and no dirty deeds were done.

Harvick got a push from 2 cars when Martin didn't have a push at all. And Martin appeared to bobble, which made it look like Harvick was even faster.

Use punctuation and capitalization, please. that's tricky to study. lower back for the duration of the 2001 season, NASCAR and their followers saluted Earnhardt on each third lap of each race. The commentators have been silent, and the followers held up 3 arms. What they rather plenty mentioned approximately Harvick grow to be that Dale's team grow to be the comparable, in basic terms a different motive force and all. Harvick drove the motor vehicle that Dale Sr. grow to be meant to race in Atlanta. It grow to be an exact duplicate of the 2000 end the place Earnhardt edged Bobby Labonte on the line via 0.006. Steve Park gained the week after Earnhardt kicked the bucket, on the Dura Lube 4 hundred at Rockingham. He had an emotional interview in victory lane, and who would desire to blame the guy? He misplaced his team proprietor each week earlier in an attempt to come back and win the subsequent week grow to be purely magnificent. It grow to be unhappy to work out Dale Jr. smash interior the 1st lap, and unusually sufficient, the smash looked eerily resembling the only that took Senior's existence each week earlier. Waltrip did no longer even get to rejoice his win interior the Daytona 500 long, so for Dale Jr. to deliver domicile the checkers for the duration of the Pepsi 4 hundred grow to be a huge gamble for him to rejoice with Junior. What a great race that grow to be.

He had the power and the speed and also Mark Martin wobbled which killed his momentum. Plus Harvick was feeding of the side draft from Martin which gave him just enough

It's all about drafting and knowing your car's limits...when you have friends in other cars they help push you so your car can go faster. Harvick just took advantage of a push, and unfortunately it was a push from Martin...

most of the day the drivers who could stay up there were getting a good run coming off the high groove through turns 3 and 4. mark couldn't block everyone and had to protect the bottom. too bad. i like mark martin and wanted him to win if junior couldn't be there.
