I had mine done twice my last pregnancy and it was still 5 days before I went into labor (with my fifth!!!). So it all depends on how ready the baby is. Stripping the membranes is supposed to release the prostagladin hormone (not make your water more likely to break). Prostagladin hormone is what they use for inductions with cervidil.

Some spotting, not more than a period though, maybe a little discharge, It sounds like you are ready to have this baby not much more you can do to speed up the process contrary to what others say this baby will come when it is good a ready... It also sounds like this is your first baby which means this process could take a while and patience is required, it may seem like it is never going to end but if today is your due date then your doctor wont's let you go too far over your due date before inducing labor so just sit back and relax don't be in a hurry this baby will be here before you know it... Good luck

when i had my membranes stripped with my son i started bleeding i was a week late. But i never started labor they had to give me a cerivido to soften my cervix but that only dilated me to 2 cm so they gave me patosin and that took 2 an 1/2 days to get to 8cm and it was painful. On the 2nd day of labor i had a c-section. But i have a crooked pelvis.

I had my membranes stripped with my 2nd dd and within a few hours my labour started. I got really crampy and couldnt even walk. I cleaned the house though....and made a nice dinner. Slept through most of the contractions and delivered her first thing in the morning. I remember it hurt like @#$% to have them strip them though. Good luck it should be soon.

When I had my membranes stripped with my third daughter I was in early stages of labor within just a couple of hours and had her in well under 24 hours. But I have heard it others say it was up to a week later before they went into labor.

My water broke when I was 1 cm.. and I labored for 43 1/2 hours after that. But that was on its own, no stripping.
My friend had her membranes stripped and she didnt go into labor for another week.
Theres no real way of knowing what will happen for you. The idea is that the bag of waters will break sooner and encourage labor. Just wait it out, you'll be there soon.

the first time I went for a sweep i replaced into 40-one weks and they couldn't do it suited because i wasn't dilated adequate. I then replaced into triggered and had 2 further sweeps as component of the approach. After the first I merely had gentle abdomen soreness for a lengthy time period. After the 2d I lost my plug very few hours later in a unmarried enormous 'Glob'. It did not fairly deliver my labour on and that i finished up having my waters damaged and an oxytocin drip, yet my cervix replaced into fairly obdurate!
