I have been dieting for 1 month, but i admit, i've only been eating between- 600-900 calories a day. Yet, i still stay at the exact same weight, 52kg/116lbs. I have also been doing an hour of Pilates every night, and keeping track of every single calorie that i consume and burn, I have a text document that is almost a mile long with that.
any answers?

I lost more than 30lbs last year and this is how I did it:
I did 200 minutes of cardio a week. Bear in mind that fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Add ab work to your routine.
When weight training warm up with 5-10 minutes of cardio. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio after weights.
Don't look at your scale as your measurement for success, but get a measuring tape to check your body, that is where you will see your results!
Magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness kept me motivated.....Good luck !

I've been dieting for about a month too. I'm on my gazelle for at least a half hour every day, plus Pilates and 200 ab crunches. I'm at the same weight as when I started, but I've gained a lot of muscle. Muscle actually weighs more than fat, so even though my body looks a lot better, I've been at about the same weight. I'm not worried as long as I'm seeing results.

That's a VERY unhealthy calorie range. Another post had it right: you're body is hoarding all the calories and fat it gets because it's in starvation mode. You really shouldn't go less than about 1200 calories, but even that is pretty low. I suggest a nutritionist. They aren't as expensive as you might think.

I am going to repeat what a lot of people have already said. You are starving yourself. Your body will hold on to fat if it thinks it's starving and it will eat away at muscle. You really need to eat more. A women needs 1200 calories a day to survive. So number one eat! Number two, you are building muscle when you excercise with pilates, muscle weighs more than fat so you can be toned and weigh more than someone who is fatter so don't concentrate on the weight but how you look and feel, fat percentage is more important than how much you weigh. If you eat enough and you do cardio excercise, like walking, biking, running, etc in the morning before you eat anything you will burn fat. If you eat before you excercise you will burn those calories. This point may help too. good luck.

Two things:
1. Pilates is good for strength and flexibility, but doesn't do much for calorie burn. If you have any doubts, wear a heart rate monitor while doing it. You'll see that it doesn't go very high. Probably less than 120.
2. Your calorie counting is suspect. A month isn't very long, but you still should have seen a pound or two change if you really were eating that little.

I agree with the answers below - you are probably putting your body into starvation mode. It also doesn't sound like you need to lose much weight. Keep in mind that excercising will add muscle mass to your body too. Muscle weighs more than fat. So, the scale may read that that you are not losing weight overall even though the amount of fat on your body is decreasing. Please please please don't have a body image problem. Your question sounds a little scary.

You do not sound as if you need to loose any weight... 116 lbs isn't very big.
Maybe you should concentrate on just continuing to eat healthy.
You could also try walking.

You are not eating enough and your body is holding on to everything to prevent starvation no diet should be less than 800 calories and that is with doctor supervision. You need to eat! why do you want to loose weight 116lbs seems small enough......

you may be at your bodies ideal/comfortable/sfae weight and thus, it will be a lot harder to lose the pounds
try exercising and not just cutting back on calories---that is not healthy and your body may be reacting to it
when on a diet you should at least get 1200 calories a day

Your body is probably having so little calories and so much excersize that its back tracking it self, and going into survival mode. It's probably trying to save all the fat your body has.
