Brazil, hands down. They have the most resources, becoming totally self-sufficient for their oil. They are the largest in area. They have the largest population. They have a very strong military, better organized I think than either Argentina or Venezuela. Finally, on a continent of instability, they seem to have the most stable government.

I'm going to guess King Hugo's Venezuela, since it was known years back that 'his' oil money bought arms sufficient to arm every Venezuelan 10 times over and he's still buying arms now that crude prices have about quintupled. Venezuelan troops are inside the borders of every adjoining country. I have little doubt his intent is to be the first nuclear armed South American nation.

it's got to be Venezuela. they are recenlty acquired russian sukhio 32mk jet fighters, over 500.000 ak103 assalt rifles and mil hind 35 attack helicopters and more russain millitary hardware are on order. with all this combined with the countires oil wealth they are the most powerfullest.

I'm guessing here but I'd say venezuala or however its spelled. they have the oil to back them.
