Just be upfront and honest. Has everyone forgotten about being for real these days? If you're not interested in dating, just tell him. I'm sure he'll thank you for not letting him waste your or his time making a fool of himself.

I know you don't want to hear this but. Be honest, tell him the truth, it may hurt a bit, but in the long run if he is your friend he will appreciate it. If he is just being your friend to try and date you... you will find out really quick. You are just hurting him by not telling him. Be nice, be his friend, don't waver if he is upset, he will understand in the long run. Then find a girl to hook him up with, remind him that having a friend to give him the inside track on a womans mind is helpful. Good luck.

Just be nice about it... tell him he is a great guy but he is just a better friend. Tell him you still want to hang out, but as friends. If he is mature he will understand, if not give him time and he will come around and you will be friends again. Just sit him down and talk about it, you never know he might feel the same way.

Be nice and polite and tell him that you're at this time you are only interessted in him as a friend and are afraid that dating would change that and that you don't want to lose him as a friend.
This way you are starting of with a negative but ending it with a positive.

Well, you're probably not going to be able to keep him as a friend. When he comes up to the group your in, make a quick exit. When he's speaking don't listen, laugh, or answer. He'l get the drift, but you'll also lose a friend.

Just say that he's a great friend, and that you don't want to mess that up. Anytime a guy approaches a girl and the word "just friends" comes out of her mouth, he takes that as rejection no matter how you word it. All they hear is "blah blah blah no, just friends, blah blah blah."

Truth is always important than hide it. Face it and tell him that you are not interested but will rather to stay in friend with him, im sure he will feel hurt but he has to accept your decision.

You shouldnt flirt or do anything that might let him think you do. Although its sometimes it best you tell him straight up that you just want to be friends and he should understand.

Better grammar would help. You could be extremely rude to him. But, if he is a friend, why would you do that? You will both be better off if you just tell him.

just treat him like a friend. give him hugs and stuff. talk to him casually. don't get into it or show signs of liking him. and he'll ask about it one day and you'll tell him why or why not.
