Reasonable people recognize that human beings hold a wide variety of beliefs. What one regards as sacred truth may be regarded by others as idiocy or sacrilege. It is immoral to kill anyone without just cause, and cartoons are not sufficient provocation to justify murder.

I hadn't heard. What happened to the men that martyred those two nuns after the cartoons were published? Were they ever brought to justice or did their governments just turn a blind eye? Jim

i am not saying that it doesnt happen, but it shouldnt. We are forbidden to kill if a nonbeliever disrespects and blasphemes Islam, not a reason and you can only kill in self defense. sp disrespecting it won't lead to death.i mean you are still living, aren't you

No, the Holy Prophet (SAW) preached forgivness. He himself forgave most of the non-believers for insulting him, hurting him and even killing his uncle, Hazrat Hamza.
Therefore, instead of murder, we should follow the example of our Prophet (SAW) by showing patience and praying to Allah that He may show the non-believers the right path.
