The wreck was going to happen regardless if the flag would of come out or not. They are going 185 mph and it wouldn't of mattered cause they were running so close to each other that they would of piled up on one another flag or no flat. Nascar did the right thing and made it a great finish.

The field is supposed to be frozen when the yellow comes out. Nascar is reveiwing that as we speak. If you were watching the race, when the caution lights came on, Martin had about 2 or 3 feet on Harvick. However, they continued to race to the checkered flag and Harvick came pass Martin about 6 feet from the finish line. Now, if the field was frozen when the caution lights came on, Martin would have to be the winner. So, who knows what new rule nascar will come up with today, to make Harvick the offcial winner. Nascar, always a new rule, always dumb. It doesn't make any difference where the leaders were, front of the pack or not, the field is supposed to be frozen the instant the caution lights come on. Period. Nascar screwed up again and I don't even root for Martin.

I've been wondering about this too. It seems like in the past NASCAR officials have thrown the yellow on a final lap. Regardless of who won the race, the yellow flag would have allowed those drivers caught behind the accident to regain their positions and points. Whatever the call NASCAR should and usually does stay consistent. I personally feel that they should have thrown that flag.

It would not get stressful to me. i love the questions myself and that i understand I ask some dumb ones at situations basically to have some relaxing with it at the same time as i'm bored and going stir loopy for the season to initiate. anyhow to respond to this insightful question i am going to respond to it 2 approaches. First, i'm hoping Dale Jr can stay out of difficulty and he will have a shot to win it and kick off an effective initiate to the hot season. he's who I pull for one hundred% yet i understand there are dissimilar different adult men who can win and as a count number of reality any of the 40 3 vehicles who stay out of difficulty have a valid probability to win. different then Dale Jr who i do not basically imagine he can win because he's my widespread driver, i'm pulling for Brad Keslowski this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i imagine some people have commonplace that this guy can driver a race vehicle and he's were given some cup adventure and a win at Dega very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i love the 12 vehicle he will be driving and that i will imagine he will have a highly solid 1st finished 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in Cup. i'm pulling for the 88 and 12 to paintings tremendous mutually on course and get a win from between both.

I have a copy of the nascar rules book and heres what it says. If a wreck happens the yellow flag is throwing and there is no racing back to the line. there is 1 try at a restart if a wreck should happen on the last lap the field is froze theres no racing back to the line. THe winner will be deiced by video tape. So nascar hmmmmmmmmmm what happend to the Yellow flag. HMMM cant follow your own rules.

The answer is,,,,,,, it wasn't thrown at all. Mark Martin got Cracked by NASCAR not throwing the caution on the last lap. all those cars were wrecking right behind them, people say the wreck wouldn't affect them but what about the other 30 guys behind it? are they supposed to plow through it? from 3rd place on back was a war zone and nascar didn't wave a caution? A travesty of JUSTICE!!!! Martin has been working for this for a long time and to steal it from him by not making the right , safe call is disgusting!!!

NASCAR has done this before(Allstate 400 at Indy last year), and even though I didn't watch the race, I'm not very surprised that they did it again.
The thing is, even though people say that it was a very dangerous crash and the caution shouldve come out earlier, the caution wouldn't really have made much of a difference, the exact same thing probably would have happened even if the caution came out, it's not like the caution stops any further damage.
The only possible difference is who wouldve won if it came out earlier, some say Martin, some say Harvick, and I can't really tell who would've won.

It was thrown too late, I can tell you that. It should of came out when the wreck happened and Mark Martin would of won.

It happened on the last lap, behind the leaders. The flag is not thrown in these situations. The old man still doesn't have what it takes to win the big one. Harvick even past him clean, not even a bump and run. Congratulations Happy, don't mind the cry babies.
