I have junked all the rap and all the other music, mostly vocals that I feel are none necessities in my life, but I tend to go towards Jazz and Classical now, and I was wondering is that wrong as well. I like Gospel also, and listen to these three primarily. What are you thoughts about it?

Well, it's good that you are trying to do good things for your mind and soul. But don't go overboard. Don't worry so much that you lose all enjoyment. I don't know much about jazz but I'm sure it's fine. As for classical, this is a genre of music that is very stimulating.
God wants us to dwell on whatever is good and pure and holy etc. We should do everything to His glory, as an act of worship- which is really hard to do. As long as your music dosn't keep you from that or dunk your mind into thoughts that are disruptive, it's fine. We are blessed with variety!

I have a Christian friend that loves Jazz and I was born on Beethoven's birthday so I feel that is where my love for classical music comes....mostly I listen to Christian music. I listen because I enjoy it and it helps me to be more focused on the Lord. Mostly I listen to KLove. Their website gives locations of all their stations or you can listen on the web.

The bible says to think on those things which are pure and holy. By way of music, I suppose this is just a matter of lyrics. Instrumental music should be great because God gave us the enjoyment of music and He gave others the talent to make music. Just make sure that whatever lyrics to which you listen are pure and holy. I hope this helps.

Why would Jazz and Classical music be wrong for Christians? Too many try to live in glass bubbles. That's why so many bubbles eventually burst.

Nothing better than to chill while listening to some classical music, some which is dedicated to the sacredness of faith as well.
Good wholesome music is much preferable to the satanic stuff that gets all the attention today.

The opinions on this will be many, and my personal opinion is that your choice of music isn't right or wrong. I only listen to Christian music myself as I find it comes in every variety. I encourage listening to music that doesn't interfere in any way with your personal walk with Christ.

Music was made by God,for His glory, if some use it to glorify the other guy, it's their problem. Listen to what you like and if the lyrics don't edify...get rid of it

St. Paul says "All things are lawful for me ,it is just some things don't edify."
You have to make your own decisions on that .If it doesn't teach a bad example then it is fine.WE all have our little things left over from the world ,it 's cool.
