You can buy it wherever. It's used to signify a covenant, and it doesn't have to look any special way to do it. Whatever you like can be used. It's what goes behind it that is important. Mine had two intercrossing hearts on it.

Age really matters here. For the younger girls, I tend to like more of a Celtic design or a claddagh design.

I really like this site

A lot of the younger girls, get more of a plain ring. Either a brushed silver or one of those that has Love Faith Loyalty written around it. If she's less than 10, I recommend getting a sterling silver one. It doesn't cost that much and she's most likely going to lose it.

This is a good one

For someone older, a daughter who is more careful jewelry and more likely to treasure it always, it tends to lean more towards white gold with a blue stone for purity. Saphire or Blue topaz. I've noticed fathers buy the 3stone for the Trinity. I really like getting a nicer ring if you are going through the ceremony. It's a big deal to spend time with your dad and nice to always have that memory.

www.helzberg.com has a lot of really pretty ones. this one is one of my favorites

Whitehall and Lundstrom Jewelers are also 2 of my favorite for a large selection of around $100 rings.

Pearls are also suppose to represent purity but I worry about getting a pearl as they are so much more delicate than a gemstone. Less likely to have the durability of a tomboy.

Depends on how much you want to spend. One at a Christian store is going to say something more like Love and Faith, but is going to turn b/c its so cheap. If you are worried she'd lose it though it's a good thought.

I think this is a beautiful idea.

Probably either. But just to let you know, 80% of teens who make a virginity until marriage pledge break the pledge. So, good luck!
