I know you can in the Army but in the Marines could you get your MOS and also get Jump School in your enlistment contract so they would send you to that after Boot and AIT?

Absolutley! Depending on your MOS you can qualify to go to jump school. I know that Reconnaissance Man (0321) goes through U.S. Army Jump School, although I don't think that you can sign-up as Recon right off the streets. All airborne qualified personnel in any part of the U.S. millitary go through Army Jump School. Not a lot of Marine MOS's need to be airborne qualified, you would have to look it up for a specific number. As for the question of doing it wether or not it's apart of your MOS, you still can but you would have to get permission. Essentially your commander may or may not allow it. Most likley upon intial entry if your MOS doesn't call for it you wont get it but that doesn't mean that you can't do it on down the road. Talk to your recruiter but I wouldn't base my decision on exactly what he says.

You will have to talk to your recruiter about the particulars of your enlistment contract.

Marine Recons get their Airborne training at Fort Benning along with the Navy Seals and Air Force Air Commandos. At least that's the way it was back in 1970 when I was there. The classes are mixed and all are treated the same, regardless of branch of service.

Back in those days there was a lot of competition, like who could run the farthest or who could drink the most beer. We had fun when we weren't training.

yes you can, they send you to the Army jump school for your airborne training, then you will be assigned to a Marine unit upon completion of AIT and jump school.

I would have to yes. There were numerous marines and others from other branches and countries in jump school when I attended. Being that was in 1988. The U.S. Army jump school is the only school for ALL who wish to qualify as parachutists.

you can't get it guaranteed in your first enlistment. It can be a part of your re-enlistment package.
