It appears there are several sects of Atheism,
those who like their coffee black,
those who like it with cream and sugar,
some like hazlenut flavored, or other flavoring, but then either add or don't add the cream and sugar,
some just like cream,
some just like sugar,
do you find however these Atheists never go to war with one another?

Hey, the actual denominations of Atheism actually play in nicely with your coffee analogy.
"Strong" Atheists and "Weak" Atheists.
**Their** words, not mine people, love ya!

Of course we don't go to war. An atheist is generally more humble about life than religious folk are. Arrogance create wars. People who think they know what this reality is and turn a blind eye to very obvious flaws in the logic, are more likely to be arrogant and start a war. Just get a bag of chips, toke one up and think on it.

Atheists who like hazelnut flavoured could go to war with Islamic militants who like cream and sugar though, does that count?

Well... technically, it is the scientists who create the weapons used by the religious to wage wars these days... many scientists are atheistic... are atheists covertly waging war? Or do dieists misuse technology? Hmmm...
I need more coffee....

Would you consider Agnosticism a sect of Atheism? Or are both sects of something else?
Are the Church of Satan a denomination of Atheism? A type of Atheism?
You can't have a traditional sect when you have no need for organization.
The fundies are going to claim that our sects are maoism, Lenninism, etc.
Actually...they probably wouldn't have made that connection....I probably shouldn't have written it.

I am an atheist extremist. We believe that suicide bombing martyrs ourselves to Bertrand Russell. We are motivated in this extremism by the promise of 72 non-existent virgins lying in wait for us in a non-existent place.
Scary, eh?

From an outsider viewpoint, I see two
1. those who oppose the nonsense that is involved with religious fundamentalism
2. those who are just as intolerant as religious fundamentalists that also mistakenly believe themselves to have all of the answers

Atheists never go to war with one another because, at the end of the day, they don't have a God to alleviate the guilt of their crimes.
