The best holiday I went on was a 2 week coach tour of California, Arizona and Nevada. Places visited included Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, the giant redwood trees and the world's greatest natural wonder - the Grand Canyon. It was simply awesome and I saw things you never see in the UK such as mirages, cactus, dust devils (mini tornadoes), and the 16 lane freeways which make our motorways look like the driveway in your garden! I booked an additional 4 night stay in Hollywood at the end of the tour but still didnt have time to see the likes of Beverly Hills or the fabulous beaches in LA. I loved LA and Vegas so much I'm going to those 2 places later this year and will have a longer time to explore them. If that's too much for you then try Paris or New York both great cities but NY just blows you away - the traffic, people, skyscrapers are astounding.

I can strongly recommend Corralejo in Fuerteventura.
We have been there several times over the years and it has always been brilliant.
It is so relaxing, with beautiful beaches, friendly people, great food and loads to see and do.
There are loads of watersports and scuba diving if you want to do them but no pressure if you don't.
There are also quite a few clubs and bars etc, but it is not shoved in your face all the time like it is in some places and it is just as easy to go for a romantic stroll along the beach and stop at one of the restaurants by the harbour - El Tren is very good.
As for places to stay; I can recommend either the Lobos Bahia Club or Los Delphines Apartments - both very nice and very clean as well as being good value.
As it is a tax free island there are also some great bargains to be had in the numerous electronics shops - remember to haggle though!
The weather is fantastic all year round and in May it should be around 80 degrees although take sun screen as there is a contant cooling breeze so sometimes you don't realise how warm the sun can be.
You can also take the glass bottomed ferry across to Lanzarote for some serious shopping. The boat does some detours along the way to go dolphin and whale spotting - take a camera.
Have a look at www. fuertevenuta.com
I'm planning to go back again soon!

The Island of Rhodes is great place to have a holiday , We toured the island on a moped and in a car finding beaches to stop at on the way. There are plenty of Historical places to visit, night life in Faliraki, and plenty of beaches along the coast. It was the best holiday we have ever had

1) Las Vegas - it's so tacky it's brilliant. Everything's so big and luxuriant, on the strip anyway. Cheap too, as it's in the US
I went on a fly drive trip of Vegas, San Francisco, Long Beach, LA and San Diego in 2005 and it was wonderful.
2) Naples, FL - Again, America and its luxury wins.
Another fly drive holiday, from Miami to Naples, then flew up to New Orleans. That's good, but New Orleans smells a bit in the mornings.
3) Paris, France - it's the chicest, coolest city on earth. Everything's so pretty and the food is amazing!

Santorini - Thira and Kamari (the towns)
This was THE most beautiful place I have ever been to. I was there for 10 days. The beaches are fabulous, the restaurants were just amazing and the views from the cliff tops in Thira overlooking the volcano (of which you can takeboat trips to, to see the mud baths and go dip in them) is the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. Santorini is well known for its historical beauty and colourful sunsets. There are old cobbled streets with great little bars. Just utterly relaxing and not overcrowded with gobby Brits.
I would recommend this to anyone.

Check out www.tripadvisor.com to see what real people think of holiday resorts. It depends on how far you want to go. Short haul, Paleocastritsa, Corfu, beautiful. Apollon Hotel, basic but very clean and very good restaurant. Bit further, Tenerife', Costa Adeje, hotel Ruis Adeje. 1st class. Check out www.skyscanner.co.uk for other ideas. Good luck. ENJOY!

Rome. You could spend a month there and never get bored. Lots of things to see, interesting buildings, art galleries, museums, the Vatican, the Colosseum, and then lots of other small Italian style things like little cake shops, great shopping, intensely passionate people, great food and wine and easy access to everything. Great for a weekend or a fortnight.

Bermuda, it has tons of tropical beaches and nice hotels, i went on a cruise there, everyone speaks English and they accept both American and British currency. The beat thing is to go to the beach right before sunset where there's not many people their. definitely go snorkeling it's quite amazing. plus it's not as far away as the Caribbean
