I once was told that once your third eye is opened it can be closed but never opened again. But my other friend it can be opened and closed as much as you please? I don't believe in the supernatural much but what do you guys think?

My third eye opens every time I do number two on the toilet. Then it closes again.

I've never heard that once it is opened it can be closed then never reopened..
During my meditation stages I can connect with the third eye, but only with more centration on it.... I am not sure about it being opened and closed and then reopened.. I do not consider it as opening and closing of the third eye but becoming more aware of it. So I may be wrong but what I would think your friend is saying that it can be opened and closed as much as you want, would be what I am saying about becoming more and more aware of it... There are some times during meditating that I do not connect with my third eye... If I am just trying to relax then most of the time I dont.. if I am searching for answers then I connect. it is different with everyone... But I dont think once it is opened and then closed it can never be reopened..

Opening the third eye for the first time is like opening up the proverbial Pandora's box. An additional world becomes opened up to you and no matter what you do next, you will always know it is there. That is why the eye can be considered to never be closed once opened.
On the other hand, you can open and close the third eye at will.

if u do have the gift to open ur third eye, u will be able to open it at will, but this takes years of training, meditation, a lot of self discipline and a lot of energy
if u do have the strengh to use your third eye u wouldn't want to close it again, it is a powerful thing

LOL. The "third eye" has been thought to refer to the pineal gland, and is often identified with the Ajna Chakra - but whatever. There's not much point in debating the properties of imaginary physiognomy.

Once the paths are connected, it cannot be "closed" per se, just not used.
To open it, try imaging a purple egg in your mind behind and just above your eyes. Do this daily really picturing it in your mind. You'll be amazed at the results.

I'd figure once it's open, you wouldn't want it to close. The experience would be too profound for you to want to go back to an ordinary existence.

There is a chance it could close again, and there are some that want it to because they can not handle what they see. However I do not think it is something that is permanent unless you want it to be.

Personally, I don't use my third eye. Specsavers wont do glasses with three lens, especially if you use varifocals. Incidentally, with two eyes, you have stereo vision. How would you describe someone with three eyes. Freakovision?

your third eye is open all the time but basically you only know it when you let your unconscious mind take over. if youre interested in your third eye and past life regression, pick up the idiots guide to past life regression.
