Need some advice... me and my girl of 8 years have had a great relationship up until about 3 weeks ago when I was suspecting she was cheating on me, when she needed some help from a guy to get on the police department. She said all it was, was him helping her and nothing else. Yet, she was hiding text messages, calls, and emails.
Well everything went back to normal and I am fine. But I brought it up tonight, I told her just to tell me. I guess we took a "break" about 2 weeks ago and thats when I was suspecting maybe she messed around with him. She swore up and down she didn't.
Tonight, I said jokingly, "if we broke up, after 9 years, and the next day I had sex with another woman, would you be mad?" She said, "no, I would have no right to be, we weren't together." Keep in mind the few day break we took about 2 weeks ago.
Anyway, I know it comes down to trust, but she's done this before.
What do you all think??

Yes you are right, she cheated on you. You tested her to see what her acts are like. Bingo, right there she showed it that she cheated on you because she would not mad at you if you had sex with other girl. Its up to you to have her back but i think its the best to dump her for GOOD and move on... You will find a girl that can always tell you the truth and trust. Good luck.

Oy. That is a bummer of a situation, I'm so sorry. That is a long time! Congratulations.
Tell her how you feel. Why are you talking to us internet people?! She is the one that needs to know. Tell her how you feel about the situation and how you feel about her. ....Be open to what she has to say. If she is cheating (which a girl of 8 years would probably never do, even if only out of respect) she would probably feel guilty and want to talk to you, she just needs to know you'll still be there.
Though if she's NOT, hearing you say over and over again that you think she cheated would be a heart-breaking feeling. So dont assume anything.
Keep in mind with the wrong choice of words what you two have both made over those years could all disappear. No pressure!

Do u mean that she has messed around on u before! If so then u r a clown for getting back with her. U already know where she stands. It's true that if u broke up then u don't have any say in it but if she did go with this guy and she lied to u then u need to stop being fool and end it. That would be totally disrespectful. If u can't deal with the idea of her being with someone while u were broken up then u only have one choice. I don't think I need to spell it out.

Youve been dating the girl for 8 years and you still dont know if you can trust her? Thats a problem. If you still have doubts now, maybe you should just move on.

I think that she 's telling you the truth. She might want to worry you a bit so that you won't take her for granted -you 've been together for a long time after all. Try to do new things with her so that this relationship won't get boring.

she has done this before? Well last time what happened did she tell you the truth when you asked her? If she lied before I definitely would not believe her, and even if she told the truth I wouldn't believe her. I have had my handful K 10 handful of cheaters and it doesn't matter if they did it before one day they will do it again.

I would break up with her too. She's not trust worthy. If you got to worry about her, then you should not waste your time.
