He isn't neutered, and I didn't know if that would be a possible solution. He's had accidents in the past, but they're more frequent, now.
It takes him a lot longer to eat than it used to, and sometimes he won't eat as much. He's only a year or so old. Should I call my vet and ask them for advice, or is there something I'm over-looking?

Well it also depends on the age of your cat. .. If he is older, He could be suffering from Kidney failure, This means not good. Like many older humans, they also start to loose control of there bladder at an older age. Or, even if he isn't old, he could suffer from a urine infection or has crystals in his urine. This is very pain full. It can cause loss of bowls, and this is also one of the leading factors of why cats stop using there litter boxes and start peeing all over the house. They start to associate pain with the last place they peed or (there litter box) and keep moving till they find a new place. I would defiantly call the vet.!

Hello, I wouldn't call my vet and ask for advice, I'd take him in to SEE THE VET! Male cats sometimes have a lot of trouble with their urinary tract and the fact about his eating and how young he is!! Take him asap!!

I would take your kitty to the vet. I have never heard of this happening before, but, I don't think it is very serious whatever it is. He may be sick but I think he will be okay.
