The cabinet is 69 inches from the floor. But it is only 12 inches deep! The microwave I bought is 15 inches deep. Will this matter? And will I have enough clearance from the top of the stove? Very concerned, the installers will be here soon. Microwave came with a package deal with all new stainless steel appliances. Very small kitchen and could use the extra space that the over the stove microwave will give me the extra room.

Sounds like the same set up I have in my kitchen. Just made some quick measurements to verify. Have 69 inch high upper cabinets and a microwave above the stove. It works fine. Plenty of room for all the cooking I've done over the 4 months I've lived here. Also the upper cabinets are 12 inches deep and the microwave is about 15 inches deep. It looks fine.

Yes it will work, in fact I think that is the standard size. I just put one in my home with those measurements. Be SURE to attach it to wall studs! You should have all the instructions and templates for mounting with the unit.

Mine required turning the fans around in the unit and buying an optional charcoal filter as I didn't have an actual vent to the outside. It was easy to do and the charcoal filter was about $15.

The only issue you might run into is using a gas stovetop... the fan MUST be vented outside, run when the gas is on and be at least 30" up from the stovetop... if your's is electric, no probs for you.

Good Luck
