I got an invitation for a miscellaneous tea for a future bride. What exactly is this and what all does it include?

I believe it means that it is a bridal shower. It is a tea and the gifts are to be miscellaneous. Sometimes they have kitchen or lingerie showers for brides; this tells you what type of gifts to bring. A miscellaneous shower, you would bring whatever you wanted; there would be no theme to the gifts.

All you need to do, is get a gift, wrap it and go to this tea. That is all there is to it.

It is an odd way to phrase it. A tea is a nice way to give a bridal shower but most of us are used to hearing the word "shower" included in the invite.

Never heard of it. If the invitation doesn't tell you otherwise, assume you're invited to tea and that you'll find out about the "miscellaneous" part when you get there.

Why don't you ask the person who invited you what it entails? I think it is the simplest solution.
