You mean what is it supposed to be? It's supposed to be, `love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself'. That may sound rather simplistic, but its obviously difficult for people to put into practice.
Unfortunately, we don't see these ideals exhibited as often as we should from the mainline denominations (from a global perspective). Christians need to be involved in the political arena just like anyone else....however, sometimes it seems like the priorities/focus is lost in the process. Political legislation (while important) isn't the ultimate answer to world problems...the solution rests with individuals transforming from their own personal agendas to becoming more Christ-like. This entails sacrifice and service....not religious rituals or political blocs.

The rest of the world isn't nearly as religious as the US. We are now a very backward country when it comes to religion. Everyone talks about the islamic extremists. The US is packed with christian extremists that are setting our country back everyday. We are no longer the front-runners of science and technology.

It depends on the Christian. This Christian sees the world itself as a beautiful place, but with many people who are corrupt. I just keep hoping that everyone will be better in the future.
