Why do you have to have sibling rivalry in the first place? My family has always celebrated each other successes and been there for each other through the hard times. My sister and I are single moms, she is divorced, I am a widow. My brother has a wife, 4 kids, and a job that pays more than 100K a year, a new house, etc. We are not jealous or resentful of him. He works very hard for what he has. My father has always supported us in what we do, school, jobs, etc. We help each other all we can. My brother doesn't help us financially and we don't expect him to, except if it was an emergency. Our parents taught us that family is a gift, and that after our parents were gone, all we would have was each other. Try to treasure what you have instead of being jealous.

Yes. I have 2 grown daughters and in constant battle over them thinking one is getting more from me than the other or who has the brightest mind when dealing with life situations. My Mother is the same, it's mostly the daughter-in-laws that are feuding verbally over the male grandson's and their rights. My Grandparents were the same with Mom & Dad. Our whole family seemed at times to me not only bossy but nibby

They shouldn't, but the root of the problem may very well stem from how they were treated as children (one believing the other got preferential treatment.)
