Wickedness in the world is due to self-righteousness, which is man's attempt to get at God his own way, or men and women believing that they are gods. Pride is at the core and pride leads to sin. Sin is the problem with mankind. Pride and sin work together to make this world the confused and messed up place that it is. People get all puffed up with pride and think that they have the right to do whatever they want. In other words, they feel that they have the right to sin, which is the right to disobey God. This comes from putting on the God Complex, the belief that they have the right to rule their own lives according to their rules. The problem is that these rules have no boundaries to them or boundaries that have been established are very flexible. If they have boundaries they move them at their convenience. This results in a lifestyle that is ruled by situational ethics, ethics that are adjusted according to the situation at hand. This sort of lifestyle has no stability to it, and thus no peace. These people think that they are free, but actually they are slaves to the very system of freedom that they have created. True peace and freedom can only be found in a system of belief where there are definite boundaries and where these boundaries are observed. In such a system there is no bondage. Christianity offers such a system, but most Christians are not willing to embrace it as it is set forward in the Bible. They refuse to surrender their personal rights to God, desperately wanting to hang on to them for fear of loosing everything. Jesus said, however, that you must loose all in order to gain all. This is not the gospel of poverty. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ in which a person surrenders himself and everything that he has to Christ that he might receive all manner of blessings through Christ.

As long as there have been people, there have been those who have their own agenda who have fouled up any good working system that enlightened humans can devise. People have been chopping off heads and burning bodies long before any Internet, TV, games or movies. I don't believe that there is 'good' and 'evil', I feel that there are occurrences of all kinds which we either interpret as favorable or not favorable. For example, if a person is shot, that person may perceive it as an negative. However, if that person is a child molesting, murderer-rapist saboteur, well then society perceives it as a good. It all depends upon the interpretation.

The Bible is more violent than any medium you mentioned.
I've never heard of an abortion clinic being blown up in the name of Tony Soprano, nor a war being declared in the name of Jack Bauer.
I concede that the amount of violence on TV, movies, video games, etc. has desensitized us to a great degree.

I think that one reason for a lot of trouble in the world is that people believe this crap. John The Revelator decided that the best way to get people to turn Christian was to scare the hell out of them, so he wrote all his horrible stories to inspire fear. Now we've got religious nuts in high places that actually expect these things to happen and, in fact, use their power to MAKE these things happen! Now you've got idiots running around CREATING Armageddon, and not caring because they think they will be saved and whisked up into the clouds. Idiots!!!

Iunderstand that this isnt the place where Gods kingdom thrives, this is where the Lion of the dark strolls seeking whom he may devour, and this is his realm where he is the master accuser, the one who steals souls and takes them with him into eternal damnation. this world is under the control of GOD, but righteous judgement is far from the man to understand less he be given discerment; The trouble in this world is we are allowed to be tempted, but God does not tempt us, as it is written in the book of James "every man is tempted when is his drawn away by his own lust" God is amazing, his judgement is faultless and his methods are perfection without hassle. I pray that my love grows deeply for him, I will love him always.

It would be a mistake to judge them as works of the devil, punishments from God,rewards from Heaven,or anything in between. They are simply Events and Experiences----things that happen.

Satan created evil. He became rebellious against God and talked other angels into following him, so when God kicked Satan out, the other angels went too. That was when angels had free will. The ones left in Heaven no longer have free will.

This world is bad because of sin. Man is wicked and when I say man I mean all of us. I have watched alot of violence on Tv and have never wanted to act on it so its not from TV. I think it comes from bad parents, bad lifestyle. Which all comes from sin.

thats just stupid, the reason for evil is we create our own realities, we are in charge of who we want to be, and christians refuse to take any responsiblity for thier own actions, at least I can stand up and say i make the world the way i want it by not believing it to be evil, but believing we can change the world if we just believe we can. However, if you want to make the world christianized you might have a fight on your hands.

And they are deceivers who come to seek and destroy all of Father God's good work. And man says to them, Come on, take over and they do because they know that Jesus Christ is coming back soon to kick butts and take names. I am a Jesus fan and proud of it.
