I am going to do it. I have been thinking about it since we had our first 4 years ago. Plus if we ever had another child, it would be easy to add! We are not having any more, I'm just saying! LOL! Thanks for all your responses. I am getting a pink one for our oldest, Alyssa. A blue one for our son, Ryan and a lavendar one for our youngest, Sophia! I am excited! My sister-in-law is coming with me to get 3 shooting stars. Two for her twins and one for her Nana that passed away! We are so excited!!!!!!!!

ive got 7 tattoos and no regrets! and definitely get your kid's favorite color for each of the hearts. that will put a lot of meaning behind it. i like your idea! very nice!

I think its great your giving it careful consideration, as its not something you should rush into. I don't have any tattoo's (i have piercings), my husband is covered in them, he doesnt regret them, some he's had covered over with a different tattoo over the years though. i love them.
I think you should go for it! The idea sounds lovely and will look gorgeous on your foot.
Make sure you do your research before going, don't just pick the cheapest tattooist, if you feel unsure about anything once your in the tattoo place, go somewhere else.
If the tattoo is small, and in years to come you really hate it (which from what your saying, i dont think you will). There's always the option of having it lasered away.
I wish you the best on whatever you decide!!

I have 3 tattoos. I do not regret any of them, and I plan to get more in the near future. I have a Chinese symbol on my bikini line, a butterfly on my lower back. And recently I got a Koi Fish on my right foot. Out of all my tattoos the foot hurts the most. But it is well worth the pain. I think the different colors for each of your kids is a great idea. Maybe use their favorite colors, so they can feel more connected with the tattoo.

I have 4 tattoos....The first I got about 12years ago at the age of 23-24. I don't regret any of them, they are not out in the open unless I am in shorts, or a swimsuit. When I get old I'll just laugh and say to the little ones.."Look I was a wild woman once!"
Go for it, it is for you and only you. Best of Luck!

I have two tattoos. One is on my ankle and the other is on my chest. I don't regret getting either of them. As long as you are getting something that you really like, you probably won't regret it later. I know a lot of females that get tattoos to symbolize their children and none of them have had any regrets mainly because of the meaning behind it. Go for it!!! Trust me you will love it and your kids will think it's pretty cool too!!!

I like the idea of them being different colors...how bought them being slightly different sizes too ( the biggest for your oldest and so on...). Best of luck to you and enjoy your new ink

Try a henna tatoo first, if you get one done properly with a needle not just painted on it can last four months, at least this gives you the chance to see what it's like before making it permenant.

I just started on number 16 Saturday night. I have no regrets. If you are reluctant to get a tattoo, you should wait until you are ready. If you are sure, you will be much happier, and proud on your ink.

I like the color ideas being different for each child. It sounds cute, and you can always cover it on your foot if need be!
Good luck!
