Speaking as an eastern Canadian, and one who has spent a fair amount of time in the US as a tourist and a consumer, I find the thought of this question offensive.

Our two nations have quarreled in the past, even drawn arms against one another. However, for more than a century, we have enjoyed peace and prosperity as well as aided each other in times of adversity. There is absolutely no reason to expect anything different for the next several centuries.

Eastern Canada welcomed the world on September 11th when dozens if not hundreds of airplanes, carrying mostly Americans, were forced to land in the Canadian Maritmes and Newfoundland. Many of those people still return to thank those who took these stranded travellers into their homes so that they would have good food and a roof over their heads.

During both World Wars, Canadians fought valiantly alongside Americans on every front. To this day, we share a place on the battlefields of the world, defending our common interests.

So, to ask if Canadians fear the obvious might of the US military, you might as well ask if American citizens do too...

It is my belief that Canada is not afraid but rather thankful of the USA's Military power. I say this not to be sarcastic but to be realistic. The umbrella of the Military Arm of the USA extends over and beyond Canada effectively protecting it as well as the United States. Canada spends very little on it's armed forces due to it's reliance on American Forces.

Canadians are good neighbors and good allies, at least the ones in the west.

I'm Canadian..

Absolutely not... Those making military "tactical" decisions in the U.S. might be mis-informed, mis-guided and at times completely moronic, but there is no threat between the two countries.

No, there is no threat to them. Far too close of allies. If we werent and I was canadian I'd be too scared and would move. If your country is next to the US I think you'd want to be allies lol

Of course not. The U.S. is gradually dominating Canada economically, so they have no need to involve warfare.

Besides, Canada has more friends then the U.S., and they know we would never have to fend for ourselves.
